Me And My Monkey (2002) was first written as part of a mini-series of six twenty-pages issues, each telling the story of a different character, but I soon realized that Roger Miller's story was the only one that was any good. The title 'Me And My Monkey' (a quote from a Beatles song) remained from the mini-series, but it has little to do with what remained of the story.

The story is a by-product of my growing interest in rock music through the last couple of years, and comes partly from my frustration that comes with learning to play the guitar (and not being that good at it), and partly from just wanting to do a cool story about sex, drugs and rock n' roll. It's also the first story I made with a proper stylus pen, which really gives the line a great quality.
